WHAT PERSONAL DATA WE COLLECT
Personal information you disclose to us
Personal information that you provide to us via your registration to our events and to our newsletter. The interface we are using for that reason is wix’s online forms and the ascend app.
Information automatically collected
We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use or navigate the Site. This information does not reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information) but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about how and when you use our Site and other technical information. This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our Site, and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes.
It is our policy to collect only minimum information required to complete your request.
HOW DO WE USE THAT INFORMATION
to tailor the content within our Website and across parents@work digital properties, including content shown to you, to your preferences and interests;
to provide you with information about us and our services including via personalised marketing messages and/or communications about our products and services;
to invite you to attend events, participate in sessions, etc.;
For other business purposes such as data analysis, identifying usage trends, evaluate and improve our site, services, marketing and your experience.
ANALYTICS / COOKIES
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer and that allow an analysis of the use of the website by you. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, if IP anonymization is activated on this website, your IP address will be shortened by Google beforehand within member states of the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area.
This website also uses LinkedIn and Facebook cookies to measure the impact of our social media campaigns to continuously improve our activities in supporting working parents and transforming workplace culture. Here as well, IP anonymization is activated.
You can prevent the installation of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; however, please note that in this case you may not be able to use all features of this website to the fullest extent. By using this website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
WHO WE SHARE YOUR DATA WITH
Third party providers
We may transfer or disclose the personal data we collect at parents@work to third party affiliates. When we transfer personal data, we do so for the purposes for which the information has been submitted, for the purposes listed above under ‘How do we use that information’, for the administration and maintenance of the Websites and associated systems, and/or other internal or administrative purposes. We also may transfer personal data to third party service providers of identity management, website hosting and management, data analysis, data backup, security and storage services.
The third party providers may use their own third party subcontractors that have access to personal data (sub-processors). It is our policy to use only third party providers that are bound to maintain appropriate levels of security and confidentiality, to process personal information only as instructed by Advance Gender Equality in Business, and to flow those same obligations down to their sub-processors.

• when required to deliver publications or reference materials as requested by you;

HOW LONG WE RETAIN YOUR DATA
We will retain your personal information on our systems only for as long as we need it, given the purposes for which it was collected, or as required to do so by law. We keep contact information (such as mailing list information) until a user unsubscribes or requests that we delete that information.
If you want to unsubscribe from mailing lists or any registrations, you should look for and follow the instructions we have provided in the relevant communications to you.
If you choose to unsubscribe from any or all mailings, we may retain information sufficient to identify you so that we can honour your request.
If you have other registrations with parents@work, or have provided your information to us through other means (such as subscribing to a newsletter), those registrations will be maintained unless you take specific action to inform us to cease contacting you.
Any user generated content that you may have created before then will not be anonymised following deactivation, nor will it be immediately removed from our systems or records.
WHAT RIGHTS YOU HAVE OVER YOUR DATA
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
HOW WE PROTECT YOUR DATA
We have implemented generally accepted standards of technology and operational security in order to protect personally identifiable information from loss, misuse, alteration or destruction. Only authorised persons are provided access to personally identifiable information collected via events or subscriptions; such individuals have agreed via their contracts to maintain the confidentiality of this information.
Although we use appropriate security measures once we have received your personal data, and all data is saved on a secure server, located in Switzerland, the transmission of data over the internet (including by e-mail) is never completely secure. We endeavour to protect personal data, but we cannot guarantee the security of data transmitted to or by us.
